Lithium-ion (LiFePo4) Batteries 8-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Lithium Revolution, LLC (DBA: Lithium Rhino, the Manufacturer, hereafter “Lithium Rhino”) warrants each Lithium Rhino branded Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery (“the battery”) sold by Lithium Rhino or any of its authorized distributors or dealers to be free of manufacturers defects for a period of 8 years (“the Warranty Period”) from the date of sale as indicated on the buyer’s sales receipt.
TRANSFERABLE
This Limited Warranty is applicable only to the original purchaser of the battery, HOWEVER you may transfer the warranty if the vehicle is sold with the LITHIUM RHINO battery in it that has been officially registered by the original owner. Please email info@lithiumrhino.com with the details of the sale including the original owners full name to check if the RHINO was in fact registered, and to then update the registration with the new owners information. For warranty claims, please contact the place of purchase or Lithium Rhino directly.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
This Limited Warranty does not cover batteries subjected to the following conditions:
- Damage due to inadequate securing
- Improper installation, use, maintenance, or service
- Loose battery terminal connections
- Batteries connected in series
- More than 3 batteries connected in parallel
- Reverse polarity connections
- Inappropriate storage conditions, such as exposure to extreme ambient temperatures above 135F or below -30F, fire, water submersion, pressure washing, or storing the battery in a completely discharged state
- Short circuits caused by accidental, intentional, or inadvertent connection of the positive and negative terminals
- Damage caused by impact, accident, collision, or drop
- Under/overcharging the battery as defined in its respective Battery Owner’s Manual
- Use with other third-party products that fail
- High resistance due to corroded terminals, poor crimps, or insufficient cable size
- Battery failure due to a faulty electrical system
- Battery that has been opened, modified, or tampered with
- Battery used for applications other than its designed purpose, including repeated engine starting or drawing more amps than the battery is rated to continually discharge
- Battery not charged for over 1 year (batteries need periodic charging to maintain cell health)
- Battery used in a commercial application where it is cycled to more than 80% depth of discharge repeatedly within 24-hour periods.
Batteries purchased from non-authorized dealers carry no warranty. The warranty does not cover failures outside the United States.
SERVICE CALLS, TOWING, LOSS OF TIME, AND DAMAGES
Service calls, towing, loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of the vehicle, lost wages, lost profits, or any other consequential or incidental damages are specifically excluded from this warranty.
PRORATED BASIS, REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR FULL TERM COVERAGE
Buyers must register their battery at www.lithiumrhino.com/pages/register for full warranty coverage. Batteries not registered within 120 days from the purchase date are covered by this warranty policy for one (1) year from the purchase date.
All registered batteries are covered by a credit, replacement, or repair for Seventy-two (72) months from the purchase date. After Seventy-two (72) months, registered batteries are covered on a prorated basis from the purchase date.
Within the first Seventy-two (72) months of the Warranty Period, if the battery is defective in material or workmanship (subject to exclusions), Lithium Rhino may, at its discretion, credit, replace, or repair the battery and/or its parts. After Seventy-two (72) months, if the battery is determined defective, Lithium Rhino may, at its discretion, repair or replace the battery on a prorated basis, starting from the purchase date. The warranty is prorated according to below.
The following illustrates the buyer's financial responsibility for replacement after the initial 6-year period:
First 72 out of 96 months: $0.00
72-84 months out of 96: $500
84- 96 months out of 96: $500
Buyers shall pay Lithium Rhino the corresponding amount for any requested replacement after the first Seventy-two (72) months of the Warranty Period, as per the above.
Customer also has the option in final two years of warranty in the event of a manufacturers defect to not replace his initial battery, and instead use a $500 credit towards an upgraded new option of battery in the even there is a better or more favorable battery solution available at that time.
RETURN SHIPPING
If a buyer's battery needs to be returned to Lithium Rhino, it must be shipped in a lithium-ion UN-approved shipping box. If the original packaging is unavailable, Lithium Rhino can provide packaging for a fee. The cost for batteries weighing up to 105 lbs is $19 plus actual shipping charges.
Lithium Rhino will repair or replace any battery deemed defective in material or workmanship at Lithium Rhino's expense. Lithium Rhino will provide the return shipping instructions and/or packaging in the event returning the item is necessary for evaluation or repair.
For assistance with shipping a battery to Lithium Rhino for warranty evaluation, a deposit may be required at Lithium Rhino's discretion, and refunded based on the issue being under warranty. Items not under warranty will be repaired or replaced at the customers expense if so desired. Any damaged shipments or those lacking an RMA may be refused or held until the buyer covers return shipping costs or files an insurance claim.
WARRANTY DISCLAIMER
This limited warranty replaces and excludes all other express warranties. The manufacturer's liability for breach of any warranty on the battery is limited to replacing the battery within the warranty period. In no event shall the manufacturer be liable for any other kind of loss or damages, whether direct, incidental, consequential, exemplary, special, or otherwise.
EXCEPT FOR THE WARRANTY ABOVE, SELLER MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE GOODS, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE, OR OTHERWISE.
LEGAL RIGHTS
Some countries and/or states may not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. Therefore, the above limitations may not apply to the buyer. This warranty provides specific legal rights, which may vary by country or state. This warranty is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Florida. It is the exclusive agreement between the parties regarding the subject matter. No employee or representative of Lithium Rhino is authorized to make additional warranties.
NON-WARRANTY REPAIRS
For repairs outside the warranty period or for damage not covered under the warranty, Lithium Rhino may, at its discretion, offer to repair the battery for a fee. Lithium Rhino will provide an estimate for repair and shipping.
SUBMITTING A WARRANTY CLAIM
To submit a warranty claim, contact the original place of purchase or visit www.lithiumrhino.com and contacting Lithium Rhino directly. The battery may need to be shipped back to Lithium Rhino for inspection. Obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) from Lithium Rhino before returning any battery. Batteries arriving without an RMA will be refused, and the buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. Clearly mark the RMA on the outside of the shipment to avoid refusal.
